Diamond Sports Program

Our website is soon to be redesigned to reflect significant developments and new directions at Seaton High School. For up-to-date information about Programs, please refer to:
Curriculum Handbook 2022
Information Handbook 2022

Seaton High School's Specialist Diamond Sports Program enables students with a passion for Baseball and/or Softball to work with like-minded individuals to reach their academic and athletic potential.

Our teams play under the banner of the Seaton Sharks and boast an unparalleled record in both State and National competitions with 34 State and 9 national titles since the inception of the program in 1994. The on field success is matched by an impressive list of coaching staff including numerous international guest coaches and a program manager with over 25 years of experience in working with elite baseball and softball players.

The facilities at Seaton High School are unmatched by any other school baseball program in Australia. The facilities include indoor nets complete with pitching machines, permanent video cameras linked with slow motion analysis software for analysing techniques, a fully equipped gymnasium, a fenced main diamond, outdoor batting tunnels and bull pens for 6 pitchers. These are some of the facilities that make Seaton the envy of all schools in Australia.

The Softball Specialist Program is a new addition in 2019. It mirrors the highly successful Baseball Program in content where participants are already showing progress in local, State and College teams in the USA.

To apply for the program, students attend a tryout at Seaton High School in which they participate in a number of physical tasks. A copy of the Year 6 Term 4 student report is also requested.
