Seaton is a Save the Children United Nations Global Peace School, and runs an annual Peace Day. The Global Peace School program is also sponsored by the United Nations.
Students took the initiative to advocate that Seaton become a Global Peace School in 2009, demonstrating their commitment to the preservation of world peace and the world environment.
Seaton staff and students have developed and enriched school programs and courses to include major world issues.
The Peace Days are noteworthy for the active, positive participation of students in a wide range of activities, including dance, music and drama productions, tree planting, refugee stories, peace cake-making, and kite flying.
Drama classes have written and staged plays based on stories about war and injustice.
The Day is organised by a student committee, supported by a staff member.
